Dear Students and Parents, I am so excited to start the 2018-2019 studio year with you!! I had the opportunity to take part in a vocal pedagogy program over the summer and am excited to share the new things I have learned as I help you become the singers you dream to be! Here are some changes that will be coming this fall: I am excited to announce that I will move back to my home studio in September! (150 Wood Dr. Phoenix) There will be a new scheduling system that will allow you to schedule, cancel and make-up your lessons without me being involved at all!! The system will also allow you to pay monthly for your lessons through the website. I will be adding some sound equipment to the voice studio in order to practice proper mic technique. I will be offering special emphasis classes and events this year! Ideas I have include: *Recording session to create a studio Holiday CD (Date TBA shortly) *DIG DEEPER SERIES (this will dig deeper into a specific musical, music genre or opera) *Masterclasses with special guest artists You will also have the opportunity to participate in our state NATS auditions which will be held the first weekend in November at Mesa Community College. I have been so blessed to be a part of the birth of Pinnacle Creative Arts Studio and have loved the beautiful room I was able to use this year! There are many exciting things happening at the studio that I will still be a part of and support! Joyfully yours, Mj

Two students from the studio have been accepted into summer vocal programs for Summer 2018!
Baritone Cameron S. will be attending the Schmidt Vocal Institute in Ohio and soprano Octavia C. will be attending The Torggler Summer Vocal Institute in Virginia. Both students had to submit and be accepted to the programs so we are very excited about what they will experience this summer and what they will bring back to the studio! We will, hopefully, have a recital to showcase their work sometime in August or September.
I am so grateful to all of my students and parents who have studied voice with me this year! I am grateful to have a wonderful studio to teach in at Pinnacle Creative Arts and so happy to see each of you every lesson!

This is indicative of the hard work the students have put into their vocal training! I am so excited to see the growth that will occur in 2018!
I wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!! (Thanks to Zoie for her lovely rendition of We Wish You a Merry Christmas recorded in our studio!)
I am now scheduling fall lessons! I will be posting my schedule effective Sept 1. This will have my open spots and also include my fees. If you would like to schedule a lesson first fill out the contact form here
I have always been really flexible with my studio (drop ins, one lesson or coaching) but I am starting to realize that my open door policy is really very good for the lives that many of my students/parents lead!!
That being said feel free to contact me via my website and set up a one-time coaching or lesson! I don't expect you to commit to anything! Just come when you need a tune up, have an audition coming up or just want to learn some basics!
So proud of my senior vocal student, Emily Benoit who has been accepted to ASU and will be auditioning for their vocal program in a few weeks! Emily started voice with me in 8th grade and has worked to hard to understand her voice and over the years has grown as a vocalist ready to spread her wings to the next level of study! She was cast in her dream role this fall and won splended reviews at "Lily" in Theatre works production of THE SECRET GARDEN. She is currently acting as a "super" (non singing role) in the Arizona Opera Production of CARMEN. Brava, Emily!
After auditioning at and winning a few Regional NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competitions in my college and university days, I have finally filled out the necessary paperwork to become a full member with all the priviledges it will afford my students!
NATS is the foremost vocal association in America, recognized by all colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. My students will be able to participate in local and state auditions and observe or participate in great workshops and masterclasses!
NATS auditions were such a great experience for me that I am excited to provide the opportunity for my students!
Nick and Cynthia auditioned and were cast in solo singing roles in Northwest Christian High School's production of Little Mermaid! (April 15,16,17) Sarah, Emily and Grace have all had successful auditiona and competitions this winter! Sarah was awarded a scholarship to the Show Choir Camp of America (Ohio)! She will attend with other students from Horizon High School. Emily performed as Mrs Darling for the Christian Youth Theatre of Phoenix. They added a special duet at the end of the show to showcase her singing! Go Emily! Grace was amazing as Marty in Grease with Studio 3 theatre in Gilbert.
